What is Birth RITE?

Birth RITE is a hands on preparation for birth. A workshop based on how we naturally move our bodies during physiologic birth. The exercises, techniques, stretches, and movements in our workshop will train you mentally and physically, specifically for your birthing day!! YOU were born to birth your baby!

Birth RITE birth body workshops in Sydney are designed not only to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to feel confident and prepared for labour and birth but also to have fun during the process. Learn practical techniques to reduce discomfort and optimise baby’s position for birth. including massage, bodywork, rebozo, birth ball, active birth positions & more.

The Birth RITE workshops are curated by Maitê Inaê and Mara Cunha two experienced and certified doulas by the Australian Doula College and associated members of the Doula Network Australia, mothers, and body work facilitators Maitê Inaê and Mara Cunha Together they have more than 20 years of experience.

This class is a must for anyone who wishes to have a natural birth whether you are wanting to birth at home, birthing centre, or a hospital. This workshop will give you and your partner the tools to prepare for your birth and labor.

Details

Classes run for 3 hours, meaning that we will have a good amount of time to go through all of the workshop components as well as answering all of the questions that you may have - we love questions!

Morning tea included.

Make sure to wear comfortable exercise clothing as the classes are about being hands on and interactive.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can attend the antenatal classes at any stage during your pregnancy.

    I recommend booking your classes from 25 weeks so that the information is fresh in your mind for your labour.

  • Definitely! Education is the key to improving your birth experience.

    Attending the birth class will give you valuable tools to improve your birth experience the next time around as well as give you an opportunity to reflect on your previous birth experience.

  • You can still attend this class if you would like, however there is a lot of information about vaginal birth in the first half of the class. Although body preparation during any stage of the birth continuum is important.

  • Bring yourself and your birth partner/companion. Your birth partner can be your partner, doula, sister, friend, mother – whoever you feel will best support you throughout your pregnancy and birth. However, you are also welcome to come solo if you prefer.

  • Both participants should wear comfortable clothes to move in, like you would in a yoga class or gym.

    Bring a water bottle, a towel is optional.
